Ed's Open Mic
So we recen't went to a open mic night that was put on to celibrate the resident minister's birthday. He's a big music guy. Well for those who don't know, Eva loves music and loves to dance to music. We had a great time with her at the open mic as she weaved in and out of people, dacing and clapping away. Here is just a clip. The residents really got a kick out of it as well.
I'm a ResidentDirector at Santa Clara University. I have a BA in History and American Indian Studies and a masters in Higher Education Administration, which means I can administer universities and colleges, not k-12 schools. I am married to one beautiul Heather Brackett. Recently our daughter Eva Lorraine Brackett was born on March 4th 2008, 9 pounds 6 ounces. When it comes to politics I'm all over the board, I'm very interested in higher education and becoming hopefully influential in that arena. No where in America is there more potential and no where in America is so much wasted than in higher education. Its the gateway to class fluidity and equality and I think its what makes our country strong. I love music and am a bit of a snob about it but when it comes down to it I love just about everything except most pop and most comercialized hip hop. My favortie genra is Southern Rock, which is really undefined but can be seen strictly as Skynyrd like bands or can be broadened to include bands today such as Drive By Truckers, Two Cow Garage, Lucero and much more.
